The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates Court earlier this month.
PINEHURST: Paul Newton, of Caradon Walk, has been sentenced for letting someone else drive a car without a license or insurance.
The 29-year-old permitted Kieran Brewer to drive an Audi S5 along Pinehurst Road on May 5 when the motorist did not have a licence or third party insurance cover.
Newton received six penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a £266 fine as well as £90 in court costs plus £106 to fund victim services.
MOTORWAY: Stefan Brace, of Sycamore Close in Lyneham, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to driving an Iveco Dropside Lorry along the M4 westbound near Chippenham without due care and attention.
He has been banned from driving for 28 days, fined £560, and ordered to pay £90 in court costs as well as £140 to fund victim services.
MOTORWAY: Xhezahir Hoxha, of Chilcombe Way in Earley, has been sentenced for driving offences.
The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen Golf along the M4 near Chippenham on September 1, 2023, while using a handheld mobile phone and without having valid insurance or a licence.
He has been fined £730, banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending, and ordered to pay £90 in court costs and £292 to fund victim services.
SWINDON: Terry Nicholls, of Sycamore Grove, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 62-year-old drove an MG3 along Cricklade Road on April 3, 2023, when its front nearside wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed.
He received a £72 fine and three penalty points on his driving licence, and must also pay £28 to fund victim services.
DEVIZES: Toby Knight, of Sychnant in Oswestry, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 48-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Combo along Bath Road in Devizes on April 26, 2023, while using a handheld mobile phone.
He has been banned from driving for six months, fined £292, and ordered to pay £90 in court costs as well as £117 to fund victim services.
MOTORWAY: Charles Sterling, of Sutton Road in Eyeworth, has been sentenced for speeding.
The 60-year-old changed his plea from not guilty to guilty regarding a charge of going more than 70mph in a Lotus Exige 350 along the M4 near Swindon on August 6, 2023.
He has been banned from driving for 56 days, fined £1,400, and ordered to pay £90 in court costs plus £560 to fund victim services.
DEVIZES: Nathaniel Wiltshire, of Studley Lane in Studley, has been sentenced for a driving offence.
The 20-year-old drove a Daihatsu Fourtrak along the A360 at Potterne without insurance or a valid licence on June 6, 2023.
He has been banned from driving for six months, fined £400, and ordered to pay £90 in court costs as well as £160 to fund victim services.
SWINDON: Daniel Dent, of no fixed abode, has been sentenced for causing criminal damage.
The 34-year-old indicated a plea of guilty to smashing a window belonging to Swindon Borough Council on February 15, 2024.
He has been fined £100 and there were insufficient details provided by the prosecutor for the court to make a compensation order.
