Staff at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon are becoming increasingly concerned after a man went missing from the hospital over the weekend.

35-year-old Ryan - whose last name has not been given - was last seen shortly before midday on Saturday, March 3, and is thought to have left the hospital on foot.

Shortly after Ryan was reported as missing, Wiltshire Search and Rescue announced that teams were out searching Swindon for a high-risk missing person.

It has not been confirmed if this is in connection with the search for Ryan.

The 35-year-old has been described as a white male with short black hair, and Wiltshire Police have warned that he may appear to be confused and upset.

“We are urgently appealing for the public’s help in locating 35-year-old Ryan who has been reported missing from Great Western Hospital in Swindon,” said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.

“Anyone with information is asked to call us on 999 without delay."

Edit: This story has been updated after Wiltshire Police confirmed that Ryan was found. A spokesperson said: "We are pleased to report that he has now been found and is receiving appropriate support. Thanks to everyone for supporting our appeal."
