More arrests have been made as a police investigation into a violent mass brawl which took place outside Costa in Swindon continues. 

The fight broke out near the town centre Costa branch on The Parade on Friday, January 12 and left members of the public watching on in horror.

During the violent scenes which were captured on video, knives were brandished by masked men before members of the public, ambulances and five police cars attended the scene to cordon off the area between Poundland and TSB.

Following a two-month-long investigation, police officers have now confirmed that a total of 11 people have been arrested in connection to the incident.

"Eleven people have so far been arrested in connection with this incident and released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.

"Our investigation remains ongoing, a number of pieces of CCTV footage have been gathered and enquiries continue."

At the time of the incident, Wiltshire Police confirmed that five males had initially been arrested and released on conditional bail following the brawl.

This included three men aged between 18 and 21 who were arrested on suspicion of affray.

One 17-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of affray, possession of an offensive weapon and class B drugs,

One 20-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of affray and robbery.
