An Aldi store in Swindon which closed for a week has now reopened to the public.

Aldi on Hobley Drive closed its doors on March 16, so that a refurbishment of the store could take place.

The closure created questions among locals who were forced to shop elsewhere while the work was done.

But having now reopened the store, manager Jon Cade has reassured shoppers that there was no reason to panic, and the store is back and better than ever before.

“The store is looking fantastic, and we are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available,” said Jon.

The refurbishment which took place while the store was closed included increased chiller space, new fridge doors to reduce energy consumption, additional space for Specialbuys, and redesigned health and beauty and baker sections.

These upgrades have not only given the store a more modern look but have also made the space more sustainable and improved the overall customer shopping experience.

The Hobley Drive Aldi currently employs 29 staff members, and the management team hope that the recent refurbishment will also allow for extra jobs to be created on the site.
