A Swindon salon owner has announced they will be moving their business from the Brunel Centre next month.
Aqua-G Hair and Beauty Salon, currently situated in the Brunel Shopping Centre, has been open since 2004.
It announced that it will be moving into Commercial Road, at the site of the closed Mylo’s Desserts.
Owner Inna Gawron, said: “I am excited and really tired. There is a lot to do, a lot of work.
“Hopefully it will be our home forever.”
They have not given a definite date for their move yet, only saying it will be in May.
Inna said that they are moving due to the Brunel centre being redeveloped.
In October 2019, FI Real Estate Management, Brunel Centre owners, submitted plans to build towers on part of the centre.
Some shops, such as Jungle Mania, were told that their leases will not be renewed in the redevelopment area.
Last year, Boswell moved from the Brunel to the town centre, citing falling footfall and a ‘trajectory not going the right way’.
A FI Real Estate Management spokesperson said previously: "We will continue to invest in the Brunel Shopping Centre’s transformation as we adapt to the changing retail landscape post-Covid and in accordance with the Council’s wider town centre regeneration strategy.”
