A man was left with facial injuries after an attack near the town centre.

The disorder happened between 10pm and 11.30pm on March 31, on Manchester Road in Swindon town centre. 

The victim, a man in his 40s, was set upon on the corner of Manchester Road and Gladstone Street and sustained facial injuries. 

Four men aged between 20 and 44 were arrested after the incident on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. 

One of the men was released with no further action, and the other three have been released on conditional bail. 

Officers looking into the assault have now turned towards members of the public for help.

A spokesperson said: "We are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the disorder, or anyone who was driving in the area who may have dash cam footage which could assist.
