A police helicopter circling certain suburbs in Swindon has caused quite a stir among members of the public.
For a large chunk of Wednesday afternoon, a National Police Air Service Helicopter designated UKPOL01 has been hovering above Penhill, Pinehurst and Gorse Hill.
The helicopter's presence caused a lot of speculation on social media platforms online.
But Wiltshire Police has now confirmed that this is part of its efforts to locate missing Swindon man Trevor, 43, who was last seen in the Pinehurst area on April 1.
Earlier in the day on Wednesday, police released an appeal for information in a bid to find Trevor.
Police asked for anyone who could be able to help to get in touch and added that his family 'were very worried for his welfare'.
Trevor is about 6ft 2in tall with a shaved head and has an eyebrow piercing above his right eye.
He was last seen wearing a Manchester United football shirt, a black and white jacket, black jogging bottoms and white and black Nike trainers.
A police spokesperson said: "If you can help, please call us immediately on 999 quoting log 54 of today (03/04) giving as much detail as you can."
