A man from Swindon has been charged with rape following an incident which took place in Swindon town centre last month.
Prinse Kessie, 32, of Prospero Way, in North Swindon was arrested following an incident in the Regents Street area of Swindon on Saturday March 23.
Appearing before Swindon Magistrates Court on April 4, 2024, he was remanded in custody and will remain there until he appears at Swindon Crown Court on May 3.
Wiltshire Police have been unable to give any more information at this time, but have urged anyone who has been a victim of rape or sexual assault to report the incident to the police.
"We have specially trained officers and partner organisations here to listen and work together to support you in any way we can," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
