An air ambulance landed near an electronics manufacturer in Swindon this week.

The Adver reported on the emergency services attending TE Connectivity’s offices in Dorcan at around 12.30pm on Tuesday, April 9.

The helicopter circled the area for some time before landing nearby. A land ambulance and a paramedic car were also at the scene.

Paramedics were at the B4006 Edison Road site near Royal Mail for around an hour before they left.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance has since confirmed that the reason for the 999 call was a fall leading to trauma and involved a critical care car with one paramedic being sent to the building along with a pilot, critical care doctor and paramedic in the air ambulance.

The car took the patient to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a lifesaving charity that provides an emergency service to the people of Wiltshire, Bath, and surrounding areas. but needs £4.5 million a year to continue flying and relies on donations to keep on with its important work.
