PLANS have been put forward to upgrade a supermarket in Thornbury.
Tesco recently submitted plans to install a new self-service jet wash at its Thornbury Superstore.
If approved, the new area would be installed in the car park of the supermarket in Midland Way replacing the old Waves Car Wash.
Plans show that two 1.8-metre-high screens would be built on each side of the jet wash, which would be big enough for just one car to use it at a time.
It is understood eight parking spaces would also be removed.
The supermarket giant has also asked to install a new car vacuum.
The application was submitted to South Gloucestershire Council on Wednesday, April 17.
