A MAN arrested for assaulting his wife was linked to a number of burglaries committed years earlier, a court heard.
Daniel Olsiewicz, of Bradley Road in Wrexham, appeared at Mold Crown Court via video link from HMP Berwyn on Friday morning.
The 41-year-old admitted three offences of burglary.
The first took place in September 2019 when he entered Coachman's House at Erddig Estate with intent to steal.
And the other two related to him entering the Lemon Tree in September 2020; one for stealing £200 cash and a bottle of prosecco, the other for his theft of a mobile phone from a room in the premises.
Judge Niclas Parry told the court he didn't feel he would be assisted by a pre-sentence report, but defending counsel James Coutts told the court: "At the time of these offences, I don't think he had any previous convictions at all."

The court heard he has since been convicted and dealt with by probation officers.
As such, Judge Parry requested an update on the defendant's progress prior to sentencing, which will take place next Friday (May 10).
The Judge asked: "Why are we discussing matters from so long ago?"
David Mainstone, prosecuting, told the court Olsiewicz was homeless when he committed the offences and although forensic evidence was gathered at the time, it wasn't until the defendant was arrested for assault last year that a match was identified in his DNA and fingerprints.
The defendant was remanded in custody until the sentencing hearing.
