Human poo, syringes and rubbish are piling up next to a beauty salon in Old Town.

Business owner Hana Stopps has shared images of people leaving the detritus - as well as the mess left behind - outside Bouf’s Hair & Beauty Salon on High Street.

The building is next to a flat above a Co-op funeral care which had a closure order placed on it this month. The order banned anyone other than four people from entering the property.

She said: “It just generally looks a state out there most of the time.”

Hana believes human faeces are left in the alleyway her customers use to reach the salon.

It is always in the same place and close to an open window to the flat and Hana believes it is thrown out of the window wrapped in tissue.

“It’s always splattered around the car park," she said.

“We’ve often found needles thrown around. We find little packets with white powders in.”

Other rubbish described by Hana includes drug waste, duvets and household rubbish, including post with the address of the flat that the closure order was placed on.

The rubbish is left next to the bins, meaning foxes scatter the contents. Hana says has been happening since Christmas.

The area and bins are private, with a sign stating that the bin is for the business’s use only.

Hana says customers must pass the waste and people “lingering” in the passageway to reach her salon.

She said: “Generally it doesn't make a good impression for the salon. It could put people off wanting to come because of the mess and people hanging around.”

A closure order was placed on 20 High Street on May 7 as a result of ongoing anti-social behaviour and suspected drug activity.

The flat, above an old Co-op Funeralcare, was also the site of a police operation resulting in the arrest of Stuart Randall, 43, for threatening words or behaviour.

The closure order prohibits anyone other than Randall, Debra Wilson, and Neil Cowley from entering the flat next to Hana’s salon for three months.

At first, Hana was relieved.

She posted on Facebook: “Thank god for this! Glad it’s finally being sorted!!”

However, she soon followed this up with: “They are still fly-tipping so nothing has changed despite it being shut.”

She said the waste has reduced, but the fact there is still some left on her property is “annoying”.

She added: “It’s just been a nightmare.”
