The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates Court recently.

PURTON: Scott Ward, of Reids Piece in Purton, has been sentenced for three driving offences.

The 35-year-old drove a Lexmoto ISCA motorbike along the B3696 Braydon Road in Cricklade on September 10, 2023, while in such a position that he could not have proper control of the vehicle, and did not have a valid licence or insurance policy at the time.

He received eight penalty points on his driving licence and must pay fines totalling £615 as well as £90 in court costs plus £246 to fund victim services.

RODBOURNE: Sam Halford, of Barnum Court in Rodbourne, has been sentenced for criminal damage.

The 36-year-old pleaded guilty to damaging a kitchen door belonging to Soddom Housing in Swindon on January 3, 2024.

He received a fine of £166 and must also pay £85 in court costs plus £66 to fund victim services.

TOWN CENTRE: David Watkins-Rudman, of Albert Street, has been sentenced for a driving offence.

The 37-year-old changed his pleas to guilty regarding charges of driving a motorcycle along Reading Street without insurance and while disqualified from driving on February 7, 2023.

He received a three-year driving ban and must carry out up to 20 rehab activity days in the next 12 months, and also pay £150 in court costs plus £114 to fund victim services.

MOTORWAY: James King, of Challow Road in Wantage, Oxfordshire, has been sentenced for speeding.

The 32-year-old drove an Audi A4 along the M4 near Swindon at more than 70mph on September 19, 2023.

He received five penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £372 as well as £90 in court costs plus £149 to fund victim services.

SWINDON: Hem Limbu, of Whitbourne Avenue in Swindon, has been sentenced for a driving offence.

The 22-year-old drove a BMW 116 along the A338 Collingbourne Ducis on September 8, 2023, without having a valid insurance policy in place.

He received six penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £256 as well as £90 in court costs plus £102 to fund victim services.

TOWN CENTRE: Khaim McAstocker, of Marlborough Road, has been sentenced for two driving offences.

The 24-year-old drove a Volkswagen Polo along Drove Road on September 17, 2023, without a valid licence or insurance.

He received six penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £392 as well as £90 in court costs plus £157 to fund victim services.

MOTORWAY: Olive Sharpe, of Portfield Gate in Haverfordwest, has been sentenced for a driving offence.

The 24-year-old drove a Land Rover Discovery along the M4 near Swindon while using a handheld mobile phone on September 1, 2023.

He received six penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £500 as well as £90 in court costs plus £200 to fund victim services.

REDHOUSE: Wellington Seret, of Millgrove Street, has been sentenced for running a red light.

The 36-year-old drove a Mini Cooper along Oxford Road on Stratton St Margaret on September 17, 2023, and ignored a traffic signal.

He received three penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £72 as well as £90 in court costs plus £29 to fund victim services.

SWINDON: Renis Tasim, of Vickers Way in Wantage, has been sentenced for a driving offence.

The 26-year-old changed his plea from not guilty to guilty regarding a charge of driving a Citroen Relay along Badbury Weighbridge in Swindon without insurance on August 19, 2023.

He received six penalty points on his driving licence and must pay a fine of £355 as well as £85 in court costs plus £142 to fund victim services.
