An event has been held to celebrate the Rotary Club of Swindon North and Thamesdown's contribution to the community.
In a gathering on Monday, July 1, led by president Steve Davison, club members were praised for their "service above self" ethos.
Their endowment fund, under the care of the Wiltshire Community Foundation, has distributed thousands of pounds in grants to Swindon charities since 2001.
The Wiltshire Community Foundation, an independent charity, aims to combat disadvantage and strengthen communities through facilitating philanthropy and supporting voluntary groups.
Oliver Selfe, philanthropy director at Wiltshire Community Foundation, said: "The Rotary Club of Swindon North and Thamesdown is a fantastic example of how setting up an endowment fund with us can have such a lasting impact on lives within the local community, both now and for years to come."
Mr Davison added: "Rotary’s motto is Service Above Self and as a club we have always supported our local communities and charities.
"Our endowment fund is just one of the ways that we do this, and I think it is a really good idea.
"By having an endowment, our initial donation will continue to help support local people for years to come."
