POLICE are asking workers in the Swindon area to delay their journeys because of the weather.
Officers are asking people to phone their places of work and ask for permission to come in late to ease the situation on the roads.
They are saying by 8am every major road in Swindon will have been gritted and will be safe to drive on. But drivers are asked to take care on minor roads.
