MOTORISTS are being advised to take extra care this morning and only travel if absolutely necessary.
Reports are coming in from all over the town of cars getting stuck, treacherous driving conditions and people being forced to abandon their vehicles.
A lorry has jack-knifed on Thamesdown Drive and a car has also become stuck in the snow.
Drivers are warned to take extra care on the A420 eastbound due to the snowy conditions, along with Croft Road, Dorcan Way, Pipers Way and Thames Avenue.
Traffic is stationary on the A346 outside Chiseldon (after the M4 junction if travelling southbound).
