BRIGHT students have come up with sparky ideas for a charity logo.
Charity Inner Flame approached Swindon College for help in designing its logo.
Students from the second year of the BA degree in graphic design put their heads together.
And Sam Gretton’s design of a blue and green flame triumphed in the end after an online vote.
Inner Flame runs residential courses for teenagers, and wanted a logo designed by young people.
Sam said: “I came up with the green and blue because I wanted to use different colours from red and yellow, which are normally associated with a flame.
“It was an interesting challenge to do a live project for a real client. I enjoyed it.”
The students only had two weeks to meet the client’s brief, and every one of them produced eye-catching designs.
Course leader Belinda Armstrong said: “This was an ideal project for us, because it’s an opportunity to work on a corporate identity that the students will see actually being used on a website and other marketing material.
“I have been very impressed with the work they have done.”
Glenn Bridges, the co-founder of Inner Flame, said: “The standard of entries was so high that we couldn’t decide which one to use.”
