SWINDONIANS may have been looking forward to a warmer start to the weekend but the Met Office’s latest forecast predicts more snow tonight with temperatures dipping to a chilly -5°C.
Earlier this week the Met Office predicted sun throughout Friday and Saturday.
But as the week wore on the outlook grew decidely frosty.
The weekend will get off to a cloudy start with temperatures rising to -4°C by 6am and the sun making a welcome appearance by 9am.
The sun will offer some respite throughout Saturday afternoon but despite a one degree rise in temperature snow showers will lead us into Sunday where light snow will continue to fall throughout the day.
Swindon may be waking up to another white-out on Monday with a blanket of heavy snow predicted overnight on Sunday.
Light snow showers are forecast for Monday morning.
