TWO dogs have been rescued by Swindon firefighters in separate incidents.
A female Alsatian got its head trapped in railings near the cricket pitch off County Road shortly before 9.30am on Saturday.
It took 10 minutes for the fire service to free the dog using hydraulic equipment.
Another incident on the same day saw a dog become trapped in a wall’s outlet pipe at about 6pm in Burycroft, in Wanborough.
A Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said small tools were used to free the animal during a delicate 25-minute operation.
A crew from Stratton was called to deal with the rescue. The dogs were unharmed during both fire service operations.
