A SCOUT group’s Christmas efforts have raised more than £1,000.
Throughout December, young people from the 1st Wroughton Scouts group delivered over 6,500 cards around the village to make £1,100 through special stamps.
The annual scheme allowed locals to send Christmas cards to family and friends in the Swindon area for a fraction of the cost of the normal post and at the same time help the scout group.
The Scout Troop meets on a Friday between 7.15pm and 9.00pm at the Scout Hall on Weirside Avenue.
