TWO Swindon youngsters got their birthday celebrations on track with the help of First Great Western trains.

It is 10 years since the company was set up and staff decided to share their landmark with two children who turned 10 on the same day.

Joan Fernandes and Harry Nicholas helped cut a cake and were given a goodie bag with train travel passes and games that were popular in 1996.

Alison Forster, the managing director of First Great Western, said: "We are pleased that Joan and Harry were able to join us to celebrate this special day as we look back over the past 10 years.

"The next 10 years will see us investing in trains and stations, improving performance and customer service and introducing many more benefits to customers."

Harry said: "It was really fun celebrating my birthday at the train station. I really enjoyed the occasion and my birthday presents."

The exact anniversary was yesterday.
