MEMBERS of the Dorcan Performing Arts Group were thrilled to receive a letter from the mayor congratulating them on a recent performance.
Coun Ray Fisher, pictured, enjoyed the group's variety show in January so much that he put pen to paper to tell thank them.
The show was put together by a group of 70 youngsters as young as six.
Coun Fisher wrote that it was an honour and pleasure to see the show adding: "There was so much enjoyment and clear enthusiasm from everyone it made the audience feel part of the show something many professional productions lack."
Gina Musty, the business manager for the company, said: "The members are ecstatic at receiving this letter.
"They were really pleased to see the mayor at the show and he enjoyed it so much, he was absolutely in awe."
Nigel Sharp, the chairman of the group, said they would now frame the letter.
"It's an honour to receive it," he said.
