TIME is running out for young people in Swindon to enrol on a new course at New College designed to give them a second chance to get back into education.
Ready Steady Job has been specially designed for 16 to 18-year olds who are currently not in a job or at college.
More than 200 young people in the town, about eight per cent of the teenage population, are currently not in education, employment or training and these are the people the six-week course will be targeting.
The programme begins on February 20. It will run from Monday to Thursday each week at the college's Queens Drive campus.
The programme will include interview skills, CV writing, literacy, numeracy and ICT.
The deadline for applications is tomorrow. The minimum requirement to qualify for the course is two GCSEs grade D/E.
For details call the college's free information line on 0808 172 1724.
