INNOVISION Research & Technology has appointed Heikki Huomo as technical director.
He joins the company's design team in Cirencester from Nokia Ventures, Finland.
Mr Huomo said: "I see exciting times ahead."
In his 10-year career with Nokia, Mr Huomo established a strong track record in developing technical solutions to meet changing market needs. He is especially well known in the industry as one of the fathers of NFC (Near Field Communication) in the mobile phone context.
