VETS in the town are hoping to find a new home for a cat whose owners no longer wanted him.

The cat was recently taken into the Thameswood vets, in Purton Road, by a member of the public and, after finding the cat had been identichipped, the vets managed to find the owner.

A spokesman for the vets said: “Unfortunately it has since turned out his owner is not willing to take him back and is no longer in contact with us. This means we are looking for a home for a fit and healthy male, black and white cat.

“He has now been at the clinic for two weeks and has developed a great personality and is a loving and affectionate chap.

“We would be looking for a owner that has had previous experience with cats and who is willing to give him the time and affection he clearly thrives on.”

Anyone who thinks they can help out should call the clinic on 01793 526780.
