FIREFIGHTERS were called to a number of incidents in Swindon over the weekend.
Officers from Stratton fire station were called to a car which was alight on the road between Wanborough and Foxhill just after 7pm on Friday.
Crews used a hosereel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze.
Later in the evening, at about 7.30pm, officers from Westlea fire station used buckets of water to deal with a burning pile of rubbish at Telford Way, Mannington.
Then on Saturday, at about 4.10pm, firefighters from Swindon were called to some spilt petrol which had later caught fire in the alleyway off Ferndale Road.
The fire was out when they arrived but they inspected the scene.
