Lydiard Park offers the perfect solution to entertain the children during half-term.

Firstly, ‘Flights of Fancy’ is a new children’s trail round Lydiard House to seek out decorative textile birds that have been carefully placed among the museum displays in the State Rooms.

The trail is included in cost of entry to the house and will be available all week up to Sunday, February 27 between 11am to 4pm.

Today from 1pm to 3pm there will be a drop-in craft session for children to make and decorate a bird feeder for their gardens and on Thursday they will be able to make bee mobiles.

The cost of each session is £3 per child, with all materials provided. No booking necessary but all children must be accompanied by an adult.

On Wednesday from 12 noon to 3pm, the warden team at Lydiard Park are offering some free activities about the wildlife in the woodlands.
