BUS operator Thamesdown Transport says it is changing some of its timetables this week to respond better to customer demand.

From now onwards, most journeys on the service 21, from Fleming Way to Penhill, will operate 10 minutes later. The company claims the change has been made to provide more convenient timings for school pupils travelling between Penhill and the Swindon Academy.

From Saturday certain service 47 journeys between Swindon and Lambourn will operate a little later. On Saturdays, the 1805 journey from Swindon to Lambourn will operate five minutes later and leave at 1810, whilst the 1903 journey from Lambourn to Swindon will operate seven minutes later, leaving at 1910. Thamesdown says this will improve the connection at Lambourn with the service 4 bus service to and from Newbury, which is now operated by Heyfordian Buses.

From Monday there will be an extra service 15 bus on Mondays to Fridays, departing from Swindon College at 2105 and arriving at Fleming Way at 2110.

The company says this has been introduced at the request of the college to help students who want to return into town after evening classes.
