AN EXHIBITION of photographs depicting Swindon volunteers in action will go on show to the public at the central library on Friday, March 11 at 1pm.

Picture Perfect, organised by Volunteer Centre Swindon as part of its project VInvolved Swindon, consists of 19 storyboards featuring volunteers at 18 different non-profit organisations across the town.

The exhibition was created by Mandy Ramsdale, a youth volunteering development manager at the centre, as well as volunteer photographers Michelle Trace, Steven Sexton and Kevin Stibbards.

The team photographed several activities, including archiving at Lydiard House and restoration work at the Wilts and Berks Canal.

Swindon’s mayor Rex Barnett will officially open the exhibition at the library. Swindon MPs Justin Tomlinson and Robert Buckland will also be there.

The exhibition will thereafter be open to the public for a week, before travelling to several other local libraries over the next three weeks.
