A LAND Rover burst into flames on a main road this morning.
The blaze engulfed the vehicle on the A419 near to Blunsdon Hill, at around 8.07am.
A fire crew from Stratton station arrived to tackle the blaze, which was extinguished around 15 minutes later.
But the vehicle itself was left almost totally destroyed.
It is the third traffic accident in less than a week on the same stretch of road.
The cause of the fire is not known.
There are no reports of any injuries, and the road remained open.
