TEEN pop sensation Alexis Jordan will be bringing happiness to thousands of fans in Swindon after it was announced that she will perform in the town this summer.

Alexis, 19, whose hit single Happiness reached number three in the UK charts last year, will open the show for the crowned princes of pop JLS at Lydiard Park in June.

Also performing at the concert will be fellow chart topper Olly Murs.

The gig is part of a run of special Sound City concerts throughout the summer, with the Swindon event taking place on June 18.

Alexis was snapped up by rapper Jay Z when he heard her recording a demo in a New York studio.

Her latest single, Good Girl, reached number two in the UK charts and is still riding high after spending six weeks in the list of the nation’s top tracks.

And with Swindon being a standing only concert, fans of JLS are in for a night to remember, according to organisers.

Spokesman Dave Suter said: “Fans will be in for an extra special treat.

“JLS have said they want to get closer to their fans than ever before, and they are installing a special long walkway that will take them away from the main stage and right into the middle of the crowd.

“JLS love to interact with their audience and for the fans with a standing ticket it will be like seeing their idols in real life HD as they perform their myriad of hits, almost within touching distance.

“Three of the hottest names in the UK are on tour together, there can only be one outcome – a complete sell-out.

“So best not to dally around while there are some tickets still available for this summer’s big gig.”
