ALONG with Royal status Wootton Bassett is now to get its very own brew in thanks for its dignified repatriations.
The Royal Bassett Ale has been brewed by Kingsdown-based Arkell’s Brewery in tribute to the people of the town, who turn out to honour fallen service personnel as their bodies are brought back home.
The beer is now available and £10 from each barrel will be donated to The Soldiers’ Charity, formerly The Army Benevolent Fund, which gives lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families.
