FUN and games are being enjoyed in the sun as Roves Farm celebrated the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Roves Farm in Sevenhampton had maypole dancing, quoits, hopscotch, a tin can alley and skittles for children to enjoy.

Joy, five, and Leo, three, were among those youngsters treated to the pony rides around the farm’s fields, with all proceeds going to the Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Their mum, Ruth Mitchell, said the farm was fantastic to come to for weekend because there was something always going on. She said: “The farm is a great place to come to. We are season ticket holders and are always coming down here.

“We saw they were doing the pony rides this weekend and decided to come. It is a fantastic day out.

“The weather is good and there are plenty of activities always on to keep the children entertained.”

Children also had the opportunity to get hands-on with the animals on the farm, with baby lambs to bottle feed along with plenty of chicks, guinea pigs and rabbits in Pets Corner for visitors to handle.

Animal farm manager Pippa Burr said: “We’re expecting it to get busier as the weekend goes on.

“There are plenty of activities taking place all over the weekend so people will be able to come and have a good day out."
