TV chef Jamie Oliver’s recipe for success has certainly rubbed off on Swindonian Lucy Ruddick after she was recognised at a national event for being a top sales person.

Lucy, 38, who works for the Jamie at Home business, is one of the top in the country for her outstanding sales and now manages a team of 120 consultants in Wiltshire.

She celebrated her achievements on stage at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel where she was joined by 170 other high-flying Jamie at Home managers.

“It’s a great pleasure to work for one of Jamie’s businesses,” said Lucy.

“He approaches everything with such passion and he has definitely inspired me to run my own business in this way.

“When I joined Jamie at Home in May 2009, this was the opportunity I had been looking for for some time, allowing me to have a rewarding and successful career that I can still fit around my young family.

“Although I work hard, I can still work the hours that suit me, allowing me to do the school run and be there in the school holidays.”
