Swindon MPs are rising high in the sexy stakes according to a new website.

Users of Sexymp.co.uk pick which MP they favour out of two randomly selected photos.

The score is then calculated for each MP’s individual tally while the user picks from the next pair.

According to the poll, North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson – who was one of the male MPs people could choose from yesterday morning – was ranked at 91 for attractiveness out of the 506 males.

South Swindon MP Robert Buckland was at 174 and North Wiltshire MP James Gray at 327.

The website ranks all 648 sitting MPs – 506 men and 142 women. The top places are dominated by the new intake of 2010 MPs.

Mr Tomlinson said: “I am extremely flattered by anyone who has taken the time to log on and vote for me.

“This website has caused quite a giggle in Parliament with most MPs’ reaction based on the position they hold in the table.”

The rankings of MPs can change at any time depending on how voters are casting their choices.

Boris Johnson’s brother Joseph was last night leading the men’s list and Liverpool Wavertree Labour MP Luciana Berger is top for the women.

Prime Minister David Cameron is currently ranked 113 out of all male MPs – trailing behind Labour Leader Edward Miliband, who is currently ranked 75th and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg came in at 118.

The founder of the website is Francis Boulle, 22, who appears in reality TV show Made In Chelsea and is expecting to inherit a diamond mine.

He writes: “In addition to my wanting to create a fun and memorable tool to help the British public get to know their Members of Parliament, I thought it would be an interesting opportunity to hold the first ever parliamentary beauty contest and find out once and for all which MPs and parties have the most sex-appeal.

“Although I fully expect this to offend some people, this was never my intention and I hope you will see the funny side.”

Sexymp.co.uk is modelled on Facemash, the predecessor to Facebook, which randomly plucked pictures of two students and asked viewers to rate which one was more fanciable.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg started his empire from his dormitory at Harvard where he hacked into university files to download the pictures of every student, which were randomly uploaded.

Experts say Facebook could be worth £60 billion by next year.
