Lewis Baxter, a financial adviser from Bath, has been confirmed as the youngest person in the UK to become a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society at the age of 24.

Lewis achieved his fellowship, the premier qualification for people working in the financial services profession, having become fully chartered in 2011.

Lewis has been with Unividual, a financial advice and wealth management firm, since 2006, although he has been in the financial services industry since the age of 16.

His family has an enviable history in financial services and other businesses in the local area, such as CH Baxter & Sons, a regional food distribution company.

Lewis is the second generation of the Baxter family to work at Unividual. He works alongside his father, John Baxter who is a Director and shareholder of the business.

Unividual, a member of the CAERUS Capital Group, offers financial planning and advice services to clients in Somerset and Wiltshire. Lewis has been personally managing clients across all aspects of financial planning for the past two years.

Lewis Baxter said: “I am extremely proud to be the youngest Fellow of the PFS in the UK. Such bodies are vital in the ongoing professionalisation of financial advisers, and receiving the top accolade is something that I hope will encourage others to help drive the growth of our industry."

CAERUS Chief Executive, Keith Carby said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Lewis, and one with which we at CAERUS, are proud to be associated. This highlights the new generation of emerging talent in our industry.”

Unividual Director, John Baxter, said: “Lewis joined the business following our move from Swindon in 2004.

"Our family has been involved in local businesses in Swindon for more than 100 years and more recently in Bath for the last seven years. We are delighted that Lewis has been recognised for his achievement and believe it can only be a positive step for him, the local community and our business as a whole.”
