Having being out of it's worship hall and community centre for over 19 months, The Salvation Army will re enter it's premises on Saturday 12th May. The hall was set on fire by unknown persons, causing extensive damage to the community hall which meant it could not be used until comlpetely refurbished. Added to which a problem of subsidence was discivered and this meant underpinning had to be done in the worship hall. Meanwhile the community work and the worship of The Salvation Army has been held in 3 different centres. The Gorse Hill School, Swindon Gorse Hill Baptist Church and Storehose Turning Point Centre. The Salvation Army continue to be grateful for their practical support. Now it is time to go back!! On Saturday the Corps fellowship will assemble in The School at 1.45.pm and then march to the Hall in Chapel Street. Leading the march will be Hillingdon Salvation Army Band.An opening ceremony will take place in front of the hall at 2.30.pm and then the hall will be opened and inside the Dedication of the Hall will take place. The ceremonies will be conducted by Divisision Leaders Majors Paul and Jenine Main. Following the service there will be a buffet tea. A warm invitation is given to all to attend this special day.
