A MAN has been taken to hospital following a light aircraft crash at Kemble Airfield.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 2.50pm this afternoon.
Fire crews from Cirencester and Tetbury attended the scene as well as paramedics, police and the air ambulance.
The pilot, who was the only person on board the aircraft, was taken to Frenchay Hospital with serious injuries by air ambulance.
It is not yet known if the aircraft was coming in to land or taking off.
The cause of the incident is not yet known.
