Photographer Albert Beaney features on the Swindon in the Past Lane blog.
His work as a photographer taking pictures of children before visiting their homes to sell the prints are featured.
Many of the photographs went unclaimed and in 1998 the Swindon Society helped towards the purchase of 40,000 prints and negatives now held by Swindon Museum and Art Gallery.
