A HALLOWEEN fundraiser by staff in the Purton One Stop shop has raised £800 for local the local community
Staff got dressed up in full Halloween costumes on Saturday and, thanks also to the generosity of the customers, managed to raise the impressive amount for local village initiatives.
The fundraiser accrued in a single day which was equally split between Purton Silver Threads and the Purton Luncheon Club for the Christmas party.
A further £300 was donated to the St Mary's Church roof fund.
Money was raised by selling their own home made cakes and produce, as well as a raffle,
The team have managed to donate £1570 to the community so far this year. A combination of fundraising money and from proceeds of the community collection buckets in place by the tills.
Another fundraiser is planned for December to raise even more money for local causes.
