SUPPORTERS going to the match between Swindon Town and Newport County on Saturday are being asked to support the police and both clubs in making public safety a priority before, during and after the game.
Home supporters can buy tickets on the day but it is ticket only for away fans.
The Great Western Pub and The Savoy will be accepting away fans and all supporters are encouraged to get to their seats as early as possible due to the large crowd being expected
Match Commander Superintendent Sue Austin said: “Three points for Swindon Town isn’t the only priority on Saturday. We want to make sure that everyone gets home safe.
“We are working closely with our partner agencies, including Swindon Town and Newport County, to make this a safe experience for all while reducing the impact of this event on the community.
"The public may notice an increased police presence before, during and after the match. This is to maintain public safety whilst minimising community disruption”.
