AFTER successful talks Swindon Supermarine manager Lee Spalding has handed new deals to nine first-team players.

Spalding, who oversaw the club's promotion to the Southern League Premier division with a penalty shoot-out win over Wimborne Town, has renewed the services of defensive quartet Jon Else, Matt Coupe, Michael Hopkins and Jack Alexander.

Goalkeeper Josh Hill, who saved two spot-kicks in their 4-3 win in Dorset, will also be returning to the Webbswood next season.

Connor Thompson, Brad Hooper, Ryan Morgan, George Kellow have also agreed to extend their stay.

The club are expected to meet with the remaining members of this season's squad on Thursday evening.

Earlier this week Marine also unveiled a number of pre-season friendlies.

Their first fixture sees them host Wealdstone on Saturday, July 14 before hosting League Two side Forest Green Rovers on Wednesday, July 18.

Ten days later, the Swindon side are competing in a Summer Cup, where they come up against Bradford Town, Banbury United and Hungerford Town.

Spalding's troops hit the road and travel to Cirencester Town on Saturday, August 4.

Meanwhile Southern League West new boys Highworth Town have also firmed up some pre-season dates for the summer.

The Elms outfit, who will step up from the Hellenic League next season host Binfield on Saturday, July 14 (3pm) before entertaining a Swindon Town XI on Friday, July 20 (7.30pm).

A XI from Championship side Reading arrive on Saturday, July 28.

Admission to the games will be £5/£3 concessions, with further pre-season fixtures to be announced.
