RAMSBURY boss Sean Evill says his side were forced to dig deep in their Division One fixture with Wroughton Reserves as they snuck a 4-3 win.

Manager Evill got one of the goals, while George Radulescu hit a hat-trick in their first home game of the season.

“It was a tough and physical game. Wroughton had a strong side out which really made us up our game to compete,” said the Ramsbury boss.

“Unfortunately, we had a sending off, as did they, which made the game much harder.

“It was a real test and pleasing to get the result as I would expect Wroughton to be a top three team at the end of the season.

“Wroughton were what we were expecting which is quick side with players who are good passers of the ball.”

North Swindon WMC won 8-0 at home to Swindon Centurians, while Kintbury Rovers were slightly less convincing as they settled for a 2-1 away win, as were Chisledon as they won 4-3 at home to Villiage Inn.

Sportz Central and Highworth Town Development could not be separated as they drew 2-2.

In the Premier Division, Ashton Keynes edged past visitors Marlborough Town Reserves in a 3-2 victory.

The only other game in the top tier was between Stratton Juniors and Swindon Supermarine Development and that ended in a 4-4 draw.

In Division Two, Moredon lead the way in the table after securing their second win of the season.

They won 1-0 away to Bassett Bulldogs.

Down Ampney got their first win of the year, they won 3-0 at home to FC Abbeymeads after suffering a defeat on the opening day of the season.

Spectrum also scored three and came away with three points, although they did meet some resistance from hosts Priory Vale, winning 3-1.

Redhouse, Cricklade Town Reserves, Brockhill United and Swindon AFC all had to settle for a draw as the former two drew 3-3, while the latter saw their game end with neither team able to score.
