LAMBOURN trainer Nicky Henderson was left in tears after his charge Darlan died following a fall in Monday’s trial race at Doncaster.
The Tony McCoy-piloted horse, who Henderson trained at Seven Barrows, suffered a broken neck after falling at the last hurdle.
Darlan had been expected to challenge Hurricane Fly in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham next month.
