NEW Chippenham boss Mark Collier has made a seven-day approach for Swindon Supermarine midfielder Rob Dean.
Installed in the Bluebirds hotseat last night, Collier has moved swiftly to attempt to secure the services of the Webb's Wood man.
Marine will do their utmost to resist Chippenham's advances, according to South Marston chief Dave Webb.
"He's not one I want to lose," said Webb. "He does enjoy it here so hopefully I can convince him to stay."
Dean joined Marine from Highworth in July 2011 and has been a regular starter since then.
He was subject to interest from Chippenham last summer when Nathan Rudge was at the helm, but elected to stay at the Webb's Wood Stadium.
Marine are poised to make three seven-day approaches of their own as Webb aims to bolster a squad that has thinned markedly of late.
Kayden Jackson, Danny Allen, Ben Whitehead and Harry Etheridge have all departed.
