SWINDON Town Ladies will be out for revenge for their FA Cup first-round exit when they face Forest Green again in the South West Combination Women’s League tomorrow.

Despite dominating proceedings at the County Ground last weekend, Town were beaten 3-0 by Rovers and manager Jason Brizzell is hopeful his players will make amends this time around.

Third-placed Swindon are two places above Forest Green in the table ahead of the clash at Fairford’s Cinder Lane ground (2pm).

Brizzell said: “Everyone is disappointed after last week but we have a quick chance to put things right. We need to assert ourselves more and ask more questions of their defence.”

Town squad: Robyn Levett, Amy Baker, Chantelle Lovell, Sam Quinn, Laura Morgan, Beth Thompson, Chyna Collings, Alice Smith, Laura, McGlone, Kelly Nightingale, Michelle Rich, Sophie Jones, Ellie Maynard, Sally Butterfield, Sheriden Palk.

  • SWINDON Spitfires return to action tomorrow when they host Downend in the South West Women’s League at the Elms (2pm).

Spits opened their season with a 3-0 win at Downend, but the Bristol side have recovered since then and are currently third in the table, two spots above the Wiltshire outfit.

The home side have injury concerns over Hayley Huckin and Ria Salleh, but welcome back Beth Turner. Spectators are welcome and entrance is free.
