FARINGDON Town missed out on a place in the final of the Charity Shield, as they were beaten 1-0 by Ardington & Lockinge in the semis.
Jamie Rutter scored the early first-half goal which sent Faringdon out of the competition.
In league action, Coleshill United and Saxton Rovers Reserves played out a real humdinger in Division Two, with Coleshill finally running out 5-4 winners.
Dan Hosier, Lloyd Callaghan, Luke Dewar and Ash Brown all scored for Saxton, but doubles for Lee Andrews and Shane Blake alongside a Lee Mason effort won the game for the host side.
In Division Four, Hagbourne United won 2-1 at home to Faringdon Town A, with goals from Grant Shears and Mason Churton. Faringdon replied through Liam Tudway.
