WOOTON Bassett picked up a well-earned three points with a 4-1 win over Devizes.
Bassett had to come from a goal down after a frought opening period saw Devizes take the lead.
However, Bassett got the score back level within minutes when Rebekah Taylor deflected a cross, wrongfooting the Devizes’ keeper.
Shortly afterwards, Devizes won a penalty flick when a shot heading into goal hit a Bassett foot but goalie Meg Emms saved to keep the score at 1-1.
Bassett then took control. Becky Thomas set Emma Collison awayone-on-one and she converted with a lifted sweep over the diving keeper.
In the second half, Bassett soon got their third from a powerful straight strike by Tegan Buchanan from a short corner.
Player-of-the-match Katy Cox was making plenty of the darts down the left wing and eventually, one led to a short corner being awarded to Bassett, allowing Thomas to score to finish the scoring and take her side third in the league.
