IT WAS a real treat of a game between the top two sides in Division Three as Cleeve Tech came from behind twice to beat Rodbourne Real.

Rodbourne went 2-0 up early in the game but the hosts pulled one back through Ewen Lever to halve the deficit before the break.

Cleeve Tech brought on Ash Andrews shortly after half-time and it was the substitute who got his name on the scoresheet to bring the game back lavel.

The visitors then went 3-2 up from the penalty spot but Andrews netted twice in stoppage time to complete a stunning hat-trick and put Cleeve Tech five points clear at the top.

“It was a closely-fought game but we were deserved winners,” said Cleeve Tech manager Lee Anger.

“We had a great attitude on Sunday and didn't give up. We knew three points were vital and when we scored a late equaliser, we didn't want to hold on to that so we continued to press for the winner.

“I’m delighted with our start to the season. We have a great team spirit within the squad and everyone works hard for each other.”
