CRICKLADE MTA manager Tom Underwood praised his side after they ran out 12-1 winners over PSV Swindon in Swindon Sunday League Division Five.

Josh Paddon netted four, while Tom Elliott also helped himself to a quartet, while Underwood, Tom Butcher, Reece Hicks and Nick Carter completed the rout.

Cricklade’s task was made easier as PSV had a player sent off in the second period for an off-the-ball incident.

“Once they had a player sent off we managed to keep scoring which was very pleasing,” Underwood said.

“We had beaten them earlier in the season and we had to make sure that complacency didn’t creep in and I’m pleased with how we went about it.”

In Division Six, Westbrook pulled the plug on lowly Northern Lights, condemning the bottom-of-the-table strugglers to their 13th defeat of the season so far.

Craige Roberts found the net five times while Richie Wells scored four, with Jon Lee and Martin Brown also on target as fourth-placed Westbrook won 11-2.

Elsewhere in the division, County Ground beat Rosier Rovers 6-1.

With no games in the top two divisions, the trio of games in Division Three all ended in draws.

Tap and Barrel were held to a 1-1 draw at Cross Street, while second-from-bottom Eldene managed to earn a point against Rodbourne Real with a 2-2 draw and G Power Solutions and FS Swindon could not be separated after a six-goal thriller.

DBS closed the gap on the top three in Division Four as they romped to a 5-0 success at PSG Amateurs.
